Grupo Financiero Banorte is distinguished by more than a century of experience and the freshness given by constant renovation. At Grupo Financiero Banorte, its ample trajectory in the banking and financial world adds to its constant renovation. Grupo Financiero Banorte was born in 1899, when Banco Mercantil de Monterrey was founded. Almost a half century later, in 1947, Banco regional del Norte started operations.
In 1986 Banco Mercantil del Norte S.N.C., whose name referred to the fusion of Banco Mercantil de Monterrey and Banco regional del Norte, was established.
In 1992, during the bank privatization process, Banorte was acquired by the current group of entrepreneur stakeholders, headed by Roberto González Barrera.A year later, with the incorporation of Stock-market, Factoring, Storage and Lending services, it was constituted as the bank it is currently known. Today, on the XXI century, Grupo Financiero Banorte is endorsed by a history of work and motivated by a promising future. |
